Ian is Team GAC Pindar's skipper for the Extreme Sailing Series. This is a series of 9 events around the Globe sailed in Extreme 40s. The Extreme 40 is a 40' catamaran and is sailed by 4 people. Often the boats carry a 5th person as a guest on board, allowing VIPs the opportunity to really get amongst the action.

Race formats are extremely varied with the organisers able to put on fleet or match races of varying lengths. The circuit is best known though for fleet racing over very short courses as close to the shore as possible.

Ian will be sailing with a variety of different crew this year, including Jono Macbeth, Gilberto Nobili, Brad Webb, Shannon Falcone, Joe Spooner, Brian Macinnes, Mark Ivey, Mischa Heemskerk and Andrew Walsh.
